Halloween

My cute little sister flew in this weekend to spend Halloween with us. I also put her to work cutting hair but that is another story. What a cool aunt she dressed up as Snow White to go trick or treating with the girls.

Gillian as you can see was a ballerina and Emily was the skeleton bride, boy was she in character.

Gillian can't quite be serious in pictures I wonder where she got that from?????

This was Mark's first Halloween home in two years. It was so nice to have him home. I think he had a lot of fun also. He did Emily's makeup and carved pumpkins with the girls he even go creative with the projector. projecting The Nightmare before Christmas through the sliding glass door onto the outside wall while the trick or treaters came. We even had jack the pumpkin king as one of our pumpkins!

Fun in Mexico

They turned down our bed and put Hershey kisses on the bed spread.

The views from our room.

On September 5, 2008 we headed off to Mexico that's right just Mark and I. I guess you could call it our 12 year anniversary present to ourselves. We arrived at our hotel at about 9pm and it was so beautiful. My picture doesn't do it justice.
We checked in to our room that had a splendid view. We spent time at the beach. We spent a ton of time shopping. and eating and shopping. etc. etc. etc. On Sunday we went to Xel Ha (shell Ha) an Eco park they had swimming with dolphins snorkeling and much more. We spent half a day there then headed of to some Mayan ruins. Did I say it was so stinking hot. The ruins were awesome.

we had an amazing day. By the time we got back to the hotel we were exhausted. We had one more really warm day after this and then the weather got overcast due to the hurricane moving up the gulf of Mexico. We did however enjoy the rest of our time in Mexico.

So I have not blogged in quite sometime as so many of my friends pointed out. So I am going to travel back in time and blog about things that have happened in the last several months. Mark came home from a four and a half month deployment at the end of August. A few days after he came home we had both of our parents come and stay, for Emily's baptism. The baptism was beautiful . After the baptism we hopped on a ferry and headed over to Seattle to take in the sights. We had a delicious lunch at The Cheesecake Factory, then headed down to pikes market to watch them throw fish and to buy gorgeous flowers.

Fun with the cousins

we went down to Spanish Fork today and visited with the cousins and aunts. The girls had a lot of fun. Emily and Gillian got to see their cousins they haven't seen in about a year. I played I think it is called rock band? Anyway I now realize why I never played and instrument can you say no rhythm. I did finally get the hang of the bass after a few songs and on the lowest level.

Emily's Party

Today Emily had her birthday party. She won't be here on the 23rd when her real birthday is. She really wanted to be able to have a party with her friends. She had a pretty good time. It looks like her friends did also. Thank goodness birthdays only come once a year!!!  I forget how hectic they can be. I did enjoy watching the kids bowl, and the happy smiles on their faces.
